SSDA’s next meet

Working weekend at Hallowtree 24th-26th April 2015

Please note:

We have been in discussion with region reference our joint meet for the working weekend at Hallowtree 24th-26th April 2015. We have been advised that South Suffolk DA will not be holding their own meet during this weekend as we are not covered under The Camping & Caravanning Club rules and insurances. So anyone wishing to attend the working party can do so but will need to contact John Brown Site Warden at Hallowtree.

You will still get a free weekend's camping if one member of your unit helps out the working party on the Saturday, it's normally painting, weeding or something similar, but John will be able to tell you more.

There will be the opportunity to have a flight in a micro-light for the cost £30.00, to be booked with the stewards.   Bonfire Meet at Hallowtree 6th - 8th                   November 2015

We held a committee meeting last night and the suggestion received from several of our members to no longer spend money on fireworks at our bonfire meet has been agreed by the committee. We will still hold the meet at Hallowtree and there will still be a bonfire but the monies we would have spent on fireworks will be used to purchase food for our members, such as soup, hot dogs & burgers etc. This then allows those members with dogs to attend the meet and also instead of spending money on fireworks we can give something back to our members but supplying the food. So if you attend this meet you will no longer be asked to bring a firework just yourselves and woolly hat & gloves to enjoy the bonfire.

Yours Sincerely
